WHEELS-TO-WELLNESS PROVIDES CRUCIAL HEALTH-RELATED TRANSPORTATION
Medical care is especially important for the elderly and people with disabilities, but traveling to appointments can be a daunting task. The Wheels-to-Wellness program provides health-related transportation for low-income members of our community who are 80 and older or who have a disability.
Qualifying travel includes visits to hospitals, doctor’s offices, dialysis centers, pharmacies and more. Participants must reside in Prince William County, Manassas or Manassas Park, although trips do not have to begin or end in those areas.
Those who qualify make their own travel arrangements with an approved cab company. Participants are responsible for paying a $3 co-pay per trip, and Wheels-to-Wellness funds up to $20 per trip. There is also a one-time enrollment fee of $15.
